This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders and technical team members while contributing to both development and administration initiatives across the Salesforce ecosystem.

This position is well suited for a hands-on Salesforce professional who enjoys solving business challenges, improving platform performance, and delivering scalable solutions within a structured development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow automation.
  • Configure and enhance Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, record types, and security settings.
  • Support platform optimization initiatives, including user access management, permissions, roles, and governance improvements.
  • Analyze sales performance, forecasting, pipeline activity, and operational metrics to help improve reporting and decision-making capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Participate in deployment activities, release management processes, and version control practices.
  • Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and configuration records.
  • Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and ongoing enhancement initiatives.
  • Assist with integrations between Salesforce and other business applications using modern API-based approaches.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and administration experience.
  • Experience developing with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud functionality.
  • Experience supporting Experience Cloud portals, communities, or customer-facing Salesforce solutions.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce security models, user provisioning, profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchy design.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and Salesforce integration concepts.
  • Experience using Git or similar source control platforms.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
  • Experience with analytics, reporting, dashboarding, or modern business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce data architecture, reporting best practices, and data governance principles.
  • Experience working within Agile or sprint-based development teams.

Desired Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Engagement Details

  • 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension.
  • Competitive hourly rate.
  • Onsite presence required in the Greater Milwaukee area.
  • Streamlined interview process with technical and team discussions.

This opportunity is ideal for a Salesforce professional looking to make a direct impact on platform modernization efforts while gaining exposure to both development and administrative responsibilities within a complex enterprise environment.
