Position Summary The Post-Harvest Supervisor oversees daily post-harvest operations, including cannabis handling, drying, trimming, curing, packaging preparation, and storage. This role supervises post-harvest staff, maintains product quality, ensures accurate documentation, and supports compliance with company procedures and applicable cannabis regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties - Supervise daily post-harvest operations, including drying, trimming, curing, sorting, and product preparation.
- Assign tasks, manage schedules, and oversee post-harvest team performance.
- Monitor drying and curing conditions to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Ensure cannabis is handled, weighed, labeled, stored, and tracked accurately.
- Maintain sanitation, organization, and safety standards throughout post-harvest areas.
- Ensure employees follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and waste documentation.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and labor efficiency to meet production deadlines.
- Identify and address quality issues, contamination risks, and process inefficiencies.
- Coordinate with cultivation, processing, inventory, and compliance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Train employees on proper handling procedures, equipment use, and workplace safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable cannabis regulations and company policies.
Qualifications - Previous experience in cannabis post-harvest, processing, or production preferred.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cannabis drying, trimming, curing, handling, and storage procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking, production documentation, and compliance procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple priorities.
